Glenridge Community Agricultural Projects also known as (GCAP) is a non-profit organization (NPO) that was established in January 2022 and officially registered with the Department of Social Development. Recognizing the pressing social needs within our community, we embarked on this endeavor to address these challenges and emphasize the significance of agricultural education for children and youth.Our organization is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of the less fortunate members of our community. As a non-profit community organization, we operate under the guiding principles of humanitarianism, providing assistance and support to those in need. Glenridge Community Agricultural Projects holds a registration with the Department of Social Development's Head Office in Pretoria and is recognized as a public benefit organization under section 18A. This distinction allows us to maximize our efforts in delivering vital services and aid to those who require it most. At Glenridge Community Agricultural Projects, we believe in the transformative power of agriculture. By educating children and youth about farming practices, we empower them with practical knowledge and skills that can positively shape their futures. Our aim is to create a sustainable and resilient community by fostering a deep understanding and appreciation for agriculture. Our mission at Glenridge Community Agricultural Projects is to enhance the quality of life for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds in South Africa, empowering them to actively participate and make positive contributions towards the development of a better society in Soweto and across the nation.
As an organization deeply rooted in the Soweto community, Glenridge Community Agricultural Projects strives to uplift the lives of orphaned children, vulnerable individuals, people with disabilities, and those in need. We achieve this by implementing impactful programs focused on education, healthcare, and comprehensive social services support.
